Frequently Asked Questions
-
March–June and September–December are ideal, though we ride year-round.
In January and February, we recommend checking the weather before booking your stay. July and August are perfect if you’re looking for heat training.
-
Great question! Mallorca and Girona are fantastic and rightly popular. Cyprus, however, is still largely undiscovered for cycling and offers advantages that those destinations can’t. Mountain roads are quiet (you might see one or two cars all day), climbs reach up to 2,000 m, and road surfaces are excellent thanks to mild weather and low traffic.
While the classics remain favourites, Cyprus is fast becoming one of the world’s most rewarding places to ride.

“Aleks introduces me to the bike I’ll be riding while I’m here, a Factor O2 stunningly custom-painted in the hotel’s white-and-terracotta colours (the discerning choice of Aleks’s partner, Emily). Our very first ride is a revelation. It’s not the £7k bike – well, not at first – but the roads. When Aleks had described them as “well-surfaced and traffic-free”, he was not exaggerating; in 60km, we encounter two, maybe three cars and not a single pothole. It’s only late-April but the sun beats down on us with an intensity rarely felt at home, the temperature soaring into the 30s as we traverse apparently endless, unbelievably empty mountain roads.”
“As we head into the Macheiras National Forest Park, the sweet aroma of pine and the even sweeter silence, interrupted only by the occasional screech of a buzzard, make for blissful riding.”
“It’s the roads, the warmth and the bike that I don’t want to leave behind, as well as, I have to admit, the slow accrual of small, almost imperceptible pleasures: the peace of the poolside, the tactile teak furniture, the sumptuous bed, and even the way the room door closes with a satisfying clunk like that of a luxury car.”
