The roasting of the lamb
At the heart of our Easter celebration will be the slow roasting of a whole lamb over an open flame. Each guest will get to indulge in the rich flavour of fresh lamb carvings, served straight from the grill.
Available only for lunch.

EASTER IN LEFKARA
Palm Sunday | 13 April
The week begins with the entrance of Jesus into Jerusalem. Locals gather at the church, carrying palms to commemorate his arrival.
Holy Thursday | 17 April
Known as “Red Thursday,” this solemn day marks Jesus’ sentencing. As night falls, the church is plunged into darkness. The church is illuminated once more as Christ is placed on the cross.
Good Friday | 18 April
The Epitafios, the beautifully adorned coffin of Christ, is prepared with fresh flowers. In the evening, a solemn procession winds through the village, while icons in the church remain veiled.
Holy Saturday | 19 April
In the morning, the priest announces the resurrection, unveiling the icons and running through the church to share the good news. As midnight approaches, the “Good Word” (Kalos Logos) is proclaimed, fireworks light up the sky, and bonfires blaze to celebrate the triumph of the rising of Christ.
Easter Sunday & Monday | 20-21 April
The festivities continue with traditional games in the village square.
Lefkara embraces Easter with open arms—welcoming both locals and visitors to take part in the local celebrations.
