We are hiring experienced and charismatic Hosts / Hostess’ to join our food and beverage team at the Agora Hotel! You will work in connection with our restaurant and Bar team as well as provide unique and memorable experiences. You are genuinely interested in people, able to memorize guests' tastes and provide them with individualized recommendations. You will be responsible for answering menu questions, engaging guests with our hotel concept and handling basic cleaning duties. We are looking for someone efficient and knowledgeable, with a friendly and outgoing personality.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES 

• Greeting and seating guests upon arrival.

• Make suggestions based on customer tastes and preferences as well as taking basic orders when needed.

• Creating a welcoming environment for guests and fellow staff.

• Assist Waiters and Runners in duties as well as educating staff.

• Taking care of reservations via Email and Phone. 

• Build relationships with guests and communicate red flags and positive feedback for management to assess.

REQUIREMENTS 

• Possess food and beverage knowledge.

• Experience in food and beverage or hospitality, preferably in a similar role.

• Strong command of both spoken and written English with fluency in Greek preferred.

• Passionate about food and beverage and keen to learn while working.

• Thrive in fast-paced, high-volume environments and maintain calm though quick and effective problem-solving under pressure.

• Be welcoming, friendly, passionate about customer service, and respectful towards colleagues and guests.

• Must be able to work flexible shifts and schedules, including weekends and holidays as needed

• Ability to stand on your feet for several hours and lift up to 20 kg if required
