RECEPTIONIST

The Agora Hotel is a boutique hotel and lifestyle concept coming to life in Lefkara, Cyprus. Inspired by the golden era of hospitality, our curated atmosphere and soulful vibe invite guests to revel in simple pleasures, like dinner with friends or a well-balanced cocktail.

We are hiring charismatic and outgoing Receptionists to join our Front of House team at the Agora Hotel. In our Reception, you will work in connection with our F&B team and Housekeeping as well as independently to provide unique and memorable experiences.

You are genuinely interested in people, able to memorise guests' needs and provide them with individualised recommendations. You will be responsible for answering questions, engaging guests with our hotel concept and basic concierge services. We are looking for someone efficient and knowledgeable, with a friendly and outgoing personality.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Welcome and greet guests.

  • Answering and directing incoming calls.

  • Creating a welcoming environment for guests and fellow staff.

  • Informing guests of hotel rates and services

  • Creating a positive atmosphere and experience for the guests. 

  • Making and confirming reservations for guests.

  • Ensuring proper room allocation.

  • Registering and checking guests in.

  • Maintaining clear and accurate records of guest room bookings.

  • Computing all guest billings, accurately post charges to guest rooms and house accounts.

  • Providing accurate information about local attractions and services.

  • Liaising with necessary staff including housekeeping and maintenance to address any problems or complaints made by guests.

  • Help organize the housekeeping team, providing them with instructions and tasks.

  • Take in requests for events and create agendas and offers to accommodate.

  • Completing and maintaining any incident reports, daily activity reports or other reports requested by management.

  • Closing guest accounts and checking guests out.

  • Enforcing rules and policies of the hotel.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Customer service orientation

  • Experience in hospitality, preferably in a similar role.

  • Strong command of both spoken and written English.

  • Passionate about hospitality and keen to learn while working.

  • Thrive in fast-paced, high-volume environments and maintain calm though quick and effective problem-solving under pressure.

  • Be welcoming, friendly, passionate about customer service, and respectful towards colleagues and guests.

  • Must be able to work flexible shifts and schedules, including weekends and holidays as needed.

  • Ability to stand on your feet for several hours and lift up to 20 kg if required.

  • Basic math & financial calculations.
